1. GENERAL

This specification describes generally the arrangement, equipment and standards of materials and components for the Floating Hotel.

The Floating Hotel fulfills in the specification given requirements for a complete accommodation system, including living-, restaurant-, sanitary-, office-, public-, service-, engine-, store-, and kitchen spaces.

1.1 Classification

Det Norske Veritas, Class + 1A1, Barge RE, Floating Hotel.

1.2 Regulatory Body Approvals

The vessel is designed and built in accordance with the rules of:

- International Convention For Safety of Life At Sea (SOLAS) 1974, where applicable.

- International Oil Pollution Prevention Certificate.

- National Regulations for Tonnage Measurement.

Above regulation requirements do not involve possible notations which foreign national or local authorities might have at the future mooring site.


1.3 Operational Limitations

The Vessel is designed for operation in sheltered waters and for offshore use in approved areas.

1.6 General Construction and Structural Arrangement

The hull is a flat top steel barge, on which an accommodation deckhouse is arranged.

The Hotel is fitted with 155 rooms with private en-suite facilities,toiletwash basin and shower unit. The barge is equipped with necessary towing arrangements . The barge has two continuous steeldecks, tanktop and maindeck. Below the tanktop double bottom tanks are used for ballast water, bunker, drain water and bilge etc. Between the tanktop and maindeck the space is arranged with machinery rooms, control room, workshop, garbage disposal, provision and stores, preparation rooms, laundry and a void space (abt. 650 m2).

The deckhouse is located on pillars evenly distributed on the main deck. The space in between forms a closed cofferdam abt. 950mm high with access through a number of manholes at all sides for easy access and maintanence.

2. ACCOMMODATION

2.1 Outline Layout and Facilities distributed on each floor

The vessel has a fully equiped galley. One restaurant, night club, laundry, reception, conference room, change rooms, storage, chiller rooms, freezer rooms, etc. Capacity air conditioned accommodation for upto 620 persons

2.5 Laundry

A central laundry is located on the first floor and guest laundries are arranged on floor two & three. Storage lockers and linen stores are provided throughout.

2.6 Elevators

There are two passenger elevators serving all floors and service lift to each floor.

3. SERVICE SYSTEMS

3.1 Heating Ventilation System

All spaces above ground floor are air conditioned by a deducted air system which is automatically controlled to maintain the desired temperature level. Engine control room has its own air conditioning. All machinary spaces and stores have mechanical ventilation.

3.2 Fire Detection and Alarm System

All rooms, publiuc rooms, corridors, litchen and machinery are equipped with fire alarm system of type smoke and heat detection and arranged in accordance with regulations. Alarm panels and manual alarm are fitted throughout.

3.3 Water Sprinkler System for accommodation

The entire accommodation quarters are protected by an automatic water sprinkle system, including all cabins.It is provided in each fire zone with sprinkler heads fitted in the restaurant and reception areas, all guest rooms, corridors, lounge, conference rooms, kitchen and laundries. A public address system serves all corridors, kitchen, public rooms, laundries and engine control room

6 point mooring system suitable for water depths upto 250 m

5. ELECTRICAL INSTALLATIONS

3 x 500 kwa diesel generating sets and connection for shore supply if required, 440 v, 60 Hz
