" OLYMPIA "

MULTIPURPOSE OFFSHORE ACCOMMODATION WORK BARGE

1. General Description

"Olympia", is an accommodation work barge for all types of deepwater offshore construction and accommodation projects.

The vessel’s design, sea keeping characteristics and all aspects of the vessel’s engineering, construction, testing and commissioning is surveyed and carried out under the provisions of American Bureau of Shipping (ABS).

The vessel has been designed and constructed to provide following offshore services:

  1. Accommodation
  2. Maintenance, repair, upgrade and installation works
  3. Construction
  4. Survey Operations
  5. Hook Up and Commissioning projects
  6. Workover
  7. Decommissioning
The main deck is specially strengthened to carry loads up to 20 tonnes/m2.

Main Generator System

Vessel is fitted out with 2 Caterpillar diesel generators of 1500 kW each, with electronic fuel injection system. Total generator capacity 3000 kW.

All main generators have automatic start up, synchronising and load sharing capability.

In addition a Deutz emergency generator is fitted in a separate compartment with an output of 1000 kW.

MOORING SYSTEM

Vessel is fitted with an eight point mooring system. Each winch is rated at 100 ton.
Each drum is fitted with 1800 m of 52 mm wire, connected to a 7.5 ton anchor.
A central control panel including CCTV, load monitoring meters and length counters are fitted in the control room.

All cabins are fitted with en-suite bathrooms.

Dining facilities are arranged junior and senior messroom total area of 250 m2 with a seating capacity for 200 persons with self-service counters.

3. SAFETY SYSTEMS & EQUIPMENT

Fire Detection and Alarm System

The vessel has an extensive fire detection system with heat and smoke detectors fitted, which covers virtually every compartment on board, arranged in accordance with regulations. Alarm panels are in engine control with repeater panel adjacent to the Reception.

Additionally a CO² flooding system has been installed protecting the engine spaces and some of the storerooms. A normal sea water fire fighting system is also in place.

Water Sprinkler System for accommodation

The entire accommodation quarters are protected by an automatic water sprinkle system, including all cabins.

All below deck compartments are monitored for flooding, with a control panel in the engine / pump control room
