Item 1 -Plimsoll Hydraulic Mooring Winch c/w: Dragging Brake System
Model: PC-HMW/WF-135/250
The winches are comprised of two mooring drums of fabricated construction, mounted in a
reverse waterfall configuration. Both drums are fitted with a fixed high tensile steel
mainshaft. The mainshafts are supported on the fabricated winch baseplate by
heavy duty roller type bearings. The bearings are mounted in fabricated steel housings,
fitted with external grease lubrication points, bolted to the winch baseplate.
A central pinion shaft is mounted between the winch drums, carrying all necessary
dog clutches, support bearings and final drive pinion gears, allowing independent operation
of the drums through the drive package one at a time.
Transmission is from a set of low speed high torque medium pressure hydraulic
motors. The motors are positioned at one side of the winch, driving through a
common totally enclosed reduction gearbox.
The drums are each fitted with a wrap up type band brake, which is hydraulically released
and spring applied, giving a fail safe to On mode of operation. The brake would operate
through a hydraulic cylinder and spring system through mechanical linkages to provide the
required holding load.
All brake straps are lined with a high grade non asbestos marine lining that is bolted to
position.
An adjustable drag brake shall be installed to each drum for controlled wire pay out. Drag
brake shall be mounted on a pinion shaft geared to the main gear on the other side of the
drive shaft. The brake is of the multi plate type, pneumatically controlled, complete with
connections for an incoming fresh water cooling supply to dissipate the generated heat.
The cooling water pump (optional purchase) shall be installed for cooling of the drag brake
during mooring operation.
An automatic wire spooling system is provided for both drums, designed for below drum
spooling. The system is comprised of a leadscrew and drive tongue, guide bar, side support
frames, fabricated bushed carriage complete with vertical rollers, manually operated clutch
and chain drive mechanism comprising driver and driven sprockets, chain and fabricated
steel guard.
The unit is powered by the electro hydraulic power pack mounted below

Item 4 -Plimsoll Central Electro-Hydraulic Power Pack,
Model: PC-EPP/4x90+7.5
The unit is comprised of 4 x 90kw + 1x7.5kw electric motor(s), 440V/3pH/60Hz supply,
Class ‘F’ insulation, IP54, TEFC. The motor is flexibly coupled to the hydraulic
pump and is mounted on a fabricated skid base plate.
Within the power pack are all necessary components to be used in
conjunction with the winch, including:
* Filters
* Relief Valves
* Gauges
* Reservoir, etc

Item 5 – Plimsoll Horizontal Sheave (to suit 63mm SWR), Model: PC-HSH/64L
Horizontal sheaves for 63 mm dia. wire, fabricated from cast steel, mounted to pedestal
base, welded to the deck. Sheaves are fitted with load pin and two proximity sensors.
Item 6 – Plimsoll Length & Tension Monitoring System for HMW, Model: PC-LTMS/8S
Plimsoll Length & Tension Monitoring System (Digital type) for HMW for indicating the line
tension and wire-rope length that has been paid-out of the 8 point mooring system consists of:
-Eight (8) channels input buffer amplifier, power supply unit, and alarm indicators.
-Eight (8) sets of load cell installed onto vertical/horizontal sheave block (Item 5).
-Eight (8) sets of encoder with proximity switches installed onto junction boxes fitted on
sheave blocks. (Item 5).
-Two sets of four (4) length indicators for rope length monitoring.
-Two sets of four (4) channels digital displays 3.5 digit (4 Nos.) for tension monitoring.
Item 7 – Seating Foundation for HMW
Winch strong foundation of fabricated steel welded to deck. Winch shall be
bolted to seating foundation.
Item 8 – CCTV Package
Eight (8) cameras and 2 monitors for remote viewing of winch operation.
